Some of them are so bad, they're good! Classics like Robot Monster,Killers From Space,Beginning of the End,Giant From the Unknown,The Giant Gila Monster,The Giant Claw,The Killer Shrews, and of course anything from the immortal Edward D.Wood,Jr.! I'm talking MSFT3000 stuff here!

Sounds like a punishing genre. The fun is derived solely from the hokiness of the movies, and how outdated they are, I'm guessing?

I can't really criticise, as I'm a Spaghetti Western and Kung-Fu film junkie. At least in those genres, there are genuine classic films. It almost masochism with the cheesy 50's horror. Even the original "The Fly" is pretty bad.

The hokiness,oh yes, definately the hokiness. A fat guy in a gorilla suit with a diving helmet on his head(Robot Monster)? Fat guys in leotards with ping-pong balls for eyes(Killers From Space)? A critter from outer space who looks like punk rock Big Bird on acid(The Giant Claw)? Here's a few more I dredged up from my diseased mind:From Hell It Came,Monster From Green Hell,Terror From the Year 5000(despite having Salome Jens in it-smack! slobber! drool!,etc),Phantom From Space,Devil Girl From Mars,Frankenstein's Daughter-I got a million of 'em!

I saw "From Hell It Came" when I was 4 - this warped my mind a little, I had a similar tree in outside my bedroom window and I couldn't sleep for a while.

The original "The Thing" wasn't as bad as I thought, but I really want to read the novel on which it was based, "Who Goes There?"

It also helps if you did a doobie...
Saw a documentary on the Godzilla series, seems it was a
simile(sp?) for the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagisaki which is
why it was so popular in Japan.

Sorry, only doobies I indulged in were the Brothers. As for Godzilla,I'm trying to get a DVD of Final Wars, the last Big G movie for at least 5-10 years, according to Toho Studios(they ran out of ideas). For those kaiju purists out there, you may be happy to know that the big, gay, running iguana from the Tristar bomb shows up,and gets his butt handed to him by the original Big G in a "fight" that lasts all of 15 seconds!

It was a short story actually.

The best will always be "Plan 9 from Outer Space". Mostly because of Ed Woods refusal to care about minor stuff like continuity.

He also didn't care about minor stuff like acting ability, dialogue, special effects(or in his case special defects!),but he did do something that a lot of other people tried and failed to do-he made movies! There were a couple of good spots in the movie that I liked-the music in the Criswell Predicts intro, and the scene of Vampira appearing to the gravediggers, doing that bit with her fingernails. And how could I forget the late, great Tor Johnson in his only speaking role(I'm a big boy,Yonny!)😉

Logan's Run was great.. ever see Galaxina? (I can't remember how its spelt..).. the one that had the Blue Star in it that a robot was chasing, and she also wanted to become partially human? it was corny, but funny.

What was that turkey that had Marjoe Gortner in it? And even tho it wasn't sci-fi,does anybody remember Super Stooges vs.the Amazon Women?😛😕😲
