Bad Manners

Bad manners at home, at work, at parties, on the road and in online forums reflect self centeredness: it's all about you, hypersensitive to your own wishes and needs and insensitive to the wishes and needs of others. Your thoughts?

Which do you prefer, making-up romance or still-angry romance?

drewnogal, in my considered judgment you never go too far wrong in this life by giving the benefit of doubt; by being quick to forgive and forget; and treating others better than they deserve. A man who cares about you who would proffer "a lame excuse about why he could not make it at almost 8pm that night" suggests indecisiveness and disregard for your personal priorities. Impatience in a man is often indicative of character flaws. Question: Is your "special friend" worthy of you?

You're certainly "a rarity; unique... and creative" but you're hardly a "freak". You're a lady hoping to find the right man.

Three Stages of Romantic Love Thread 161823 (OP)

"1) Attraction to physical attributes, social skills, intellect or personality (If marriage occurs during this stage, the honeymoon is usually as good as it gets); 2) Compatibility (Discovering shared frames of reference, interests, beliefs and objectives); 3) Rapport (Knowing the best and worst about someone and still trusting and loving them unconditionally)..."
