I like to finish this very emotional post of with a quote of James Hatfield himself - We are an icon, but we sure ain't done yet (MTV-Icon, 2003) ... AND THE LEGEND LIVES ON ...
maiden, on the other hand, still have it. 1 kinda crappy album-virtual XI-but apart form that? 13 studio albums of bliss! and some pretty neat live un's too...

I remember when Metallica TORE IT UP!!
These days, they're just trying to ride their fame to retirement. But, hey, that's the story all over.
Incubus: "Science" was incredible, but all their other albums are crap. I even went to see them last year and they SUCKED!!
The Deftones: "Adreneline" was awesome, and then... poo! I mean, they just got worse and worse.
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones: Don't EVEN get me started on these guys! Just get yourself a copy of "Question the Answers." It speaks for itself.
Santana: Come on. Seriously. "Supernatural?!" I'm supposed to listen to that crap?! Get a copy of "Moonflower" and a copy of "Caravanseri." That'll teach you about Santana!
But, don't get me wrong. I recognize the few bands who have stood the test of time. The ones that are still making classic albums TODAY. Here are some examples:
Tool, Corrosion of Conformity, Rush, Clutch, Jane's Addiction, The Allman Brothers, and Steely Dan.
