Well yes. . . Sunday roast is pretty good.

Lonely Planet should add that as a foot note.

p.s The term Heathen only applies to people who live north of Hadrian's Wall

My grandmother would make Spaghetti O's and put mustard on it.

For a super treat while visiting, she might blacken a hotdog and slice it into the bowl.

I still put mustard on my O's, on the rare occasion I have them.

...for years i told my children that i was a personal friend of chef-boy-ar-dee
and of course, being the trusting tykes they were, they bought it....but the
meal i never got them to accept was "potlicker bread"...which was in my house what was served for "dessert"...white bread on the plate after dinner
with the juice of the canned peas or carrots or whatever poured over it...so much for appalachian cuisine...

I really like canned new potatoes. Don't know why (probably because of poisonous preservatives ) but they make the fresh stuff taste like cr@p.

Surprised nobody's mentioned beer.

My personal fav is just about any kind of canned fish...tuna, sardines, anchovies, kippers...etc. I had canned smoked trout the other day. Delicious.

Anybody ever remember dog food called Chappie?

I don't know if it's still around, but by god I felt like vomiting opening the can - it smelled like diarrhoea - honestly... poor dog 🙁
