I don't care about his politics or what you think about his politics.

This is about his age.

80 years old, the oldest president of the US. That's fine, good for him but he wants another 4 years... He'll be 86 by the time it finishes... If he lives that long.

So my question, do you think going into the 80s is too old to be head of a country and should he, step aside and let someone else run for the next election?

35 i believe is the minimum age to become president, might be slightly out with that, but should there be an upper age cap as well?

I personally wouldn't want the 'leader' of my country to be in their 80s.

You'd never get an Amendment to the Constitution through the house and senate.

I feel really sorry for the man. He must be exhausted! I’d love to know what range of mineral and vitamin supplements he is taking as he’s doing really well considering his age and workload, not to mention the stress. His cortisol levels must be sky high.

I wouldn't mind Kamela Harris inheriting the Resolute desk in the Oval Office. Until then, Biden, even at his age, is better than the alternatives.

Why do you feel sorry for him? It's his choice to be president, to run for another 4 years. No one is forcing him to do anything he doesn't want to do, he doesn't need the money, can quite comfortably retire if he wanted to.

i do not think age should be much of a criteria
perhaps as a 15% factor
there aren't cognitive and abilities tests that are at an efficient stage to use in such an important position, but, i think a cognitive test and an abilities test (physical AND mental) should be the criteria for fitness of office

instead of debates, i would like to see candidates write poetry/prose ON THE SPOT
haikus, limericks, dirty, clean, cowboy poetry, epic stuff

i would want to see that

Not in your life time will you see anything of the sort.

Why not follow advice given to you, run for office. You might see what it is really like in Politics. 🙂

"So I think it's very important, as you have heard from so many incredible leaders for us at every moment in time and certainly this one, to see the moment in time in which we exist and are present, and to be able to contextualize it, to understand where we exist in the history and in the moment as it relates not only to the past but the future,"

Personally I wouldn't even want to be alive at that age but I don't think being in your 80's and President is a problem.

I know but I still feel sorry for him. I can imagine him fighting the urge to nod off on one of his flights across the world then feeling guilty when he wakes up a bit disorientated.
