Blue Triceps

This thread is about manliness and character. In the Roman Empire soldiers, athletes and sturdy common men saluted... BOOM... across

the chest. They also exchanged embraces alright, by grabbing both of a friend's arms by the triceps and squeezing hard until they were BLUE.

That was a tough lot, solid citizens, a great people for those several hundreds of years after the First Advent of Christ. Gentlemen shaking

hands politely is a longstanding American Tradition, which began in colonial times when a handshake was enough and a man's word was his

bond. Quite honestly, I'm totally unqualified to question, venture any comparative comment or float some opinion on indigenous customs

and cultural traditions still prevailing today on other continents. Here, however, when I see the (supposedly) best and brightest and most

promising and highest/overpaid American Athletes jumping up and down like effete ballerinas and mindlessly exchanging knuckle taps

or chest bumps or high fives... the vivid scene of an uncivilized pristine jungle floods my mind. Whether their American skin color is white

or black, brown or red, yellow or green... I see blue as I smile quietly, thinking about the greatness of a blue tricep culture 2000 years ago.

🙂

Edit: Forgot to mention that the genteel among them let it go with a simple and effective kind of handshake... aggressively bringing
their right arms together and clasping the underside flesh of each other's forearms just below the elbow. Guessing that maybe the
lion's share of the senior citizens were not sissies or members of some wimphood fraternity but also still hale, hearty and well met.

If we're not into physical aggression, what's with all the bodybuilding and martial arts stuff then?

That might be the hard part, but I could always rent an engine hoist. 😀

If that line doesn't get a wrestling match started nothing will. 😛

Why would you want to be in a wheelie bin? A wheel barrow is a lot more comfortable.
