apologies to Dylan fans, but his voice is just terrible and the quality of his song writing is often over-inflated...

I didn't say there was a connection as such - nor was I saying one was better than the other [in fact I prefer Pink Floyd] but that without the Beatles' pioneering work many of the others wouldn't even have existed.
