He he, I was just going to say some words to that extent.
I remember bowman claimed to be a 200 rated player in England but could never prove who he actually was - or even play at that sort of level. The only 200ish rated English players I know of on this site are both rated around 2300, wheras bowman was about 1700 or so.
Originally posted by wormwoodHe had 200 BCF on his profile and claimed to be a strong exponent of Stanley Random. My OTB is 1800 and Bowmann's play was way ahead of mine. In most of his games he tended to mess about with bizarre openings and giving his opponent a piece here and there for nowt!

Originally posted by demonseedI remember I used to talk to trains41 around that time, It was just before he started using computers when he was rated around 1800 and he had bowman completely beaten in a game he was playing and I even commented that it was not the play I would expect of somebody claiming to be that good.

The post that was quoted here has been removedWell once I was on a boat and a large electrical storm blew up, I decided that this was the perfect opportunity to harness the power of lightning for my own uses (it is a common myth that a lightning strike is fatal - in fact it almost always gives you powers if you watch films).
So I was out on deck with a large metal pole, trying to get a good strike when a freak wave washed me overboard. I thought this would be my end, as the soluble molecules within my body would all dissolve into the sea and I would never be able to put myself back together again.
To my astonishment, I found that over the years I had developed a water resistant barrier around my body which the seawater was unable to penetrate (at least not at a rapid rate) and I had waterproof skin.
I have decided from here on that I shall make it my responsibility to protect to world, even the entire universe, from the perils of water.

I have a better idea, I will write with the punctuation I deem to be worthwhile putting in and then leave a whole pile of 'marks' at the end of the post that you can amuse yourself by adding back in.
...,,!!:?
Does that make you feel better?
