Both Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam and Tariq Ramadan are noted peace activists. If either has given money to an organization that secretly supports, e.g., Hamas, I doubt very much that it was intentional on their (CS/YI's or TR's) part. Denying entry to muslims simply because they are muslims or because they do not agree with specific policies of the (current, and hopefully short-lived) administration is NOT reasonable. Yeah, I'm with Captain America! Keep all religious fundamentalists out of the good ol' U-S-of-A. I don't care if there's proof or not, I don't want to see those towelheads in my glorious nation of ignorant sheep. Where in my post did I say to keep out "normal" muslims? I said RADICAL ISLAMISTS, did I not? Simply disagreeing with "current administration policies" is a BIT different than "killing civilian infidels because of their government's foreign policy" don't you think? Cat Stephens is a convert to Islam. There are many moderate and tolerant Muslims - and there are others. Where does Cat Stevens fit in?

Some twenty years ago, Salman Rushdie, a leading UK novelist wrote the &quot;Satanic Verses', which contained references to Mohammed, the founder of the religion. Some muslims found it offensive and Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini ordered a fatwa - a death sentence for blasphemy. Salman went into hiding as it seems very possible he would be assasinated. Cat Stephens is on record in supporting the calling of this fatwa on his fellow citizen.

I take this to mean his religious beliefs do not exclude killing those who blaspheme against Islam.
