I've been collecting coins and money not used anymore for years. Example our dollar bill and two dollar bills are no longer used replaced with the loonie and twonie/toonie. We no longer use pennys so have a collection of the older ones. They might be worth something some day to my Great, Great, Grand children.
EDIT: our 5, 10, & 20 dollars bills have aslo been replaced. We have a 10 dollar bill which was dedicted to Viola Desmond.
