I thought you had Benny Hill in Brooklyn?!?

It's your equivalent of:

{Adopts italo-american brooklyn accent}

"My goodness, I do believe my toasted crumpets are burning. How very inconvenient".

A Brit told me the derivation was from the explitive , "May God blind me !". It is similar to "Well I'll be damned!". When spoken quickly with a cockney accent it slurs to something similar to "Cor Blimey" or "Gor Blimey" .

PS -(I'm imagining Bowmann with a cockney accent from now on .)
