I think the truly interesting question in this thread is whether the best apples really grow at the top of the apple tree.
Now, I certainly can't admit to being an appletologist, but I do eat a lot of apples. Well, I swallow vitamin pills...it's all the same, really.
But, I've never heard of the best apples growing at the top of three. No sirree, not once.
Until our beloved comrade Arrakis mentioned this fact in a somewhat loaded setting, but settings be what setttings are; settttings with two t's droopped.
And so, I place the question (which is more interesting that the orginal question...well it has to be, I can't remember what the thread was about) to you: Do the better apples grow on top of trees.
Apples trees. No plumb trees. That would just be fruity.

The other is huge big cooking apples - they go real quick too, but they make the most awesome tarts.
So I have one that's quick and easy and one that's basically a tart.
Apples eh?

That would include those on top of the tree.

I'll conduct a practical experiment and report back in the autumn.
(Using apples in the UK rather then strawberrys in the arctic you understand).
(or girls in Africa if I can find any?)
