Oh, and another thing. European primary school children can point to their own county on a map. American primary school children have lockdown drills.
I was 'on the line' to 2 americans recently and was shocked to hear that they had not heard of "the Doors" .
"How do you spell that? " , was the actual response. Scary!!

I believe the person with the most VOTES should win the Presidency no matter where they come from.

The most popular person, or person who the majority feel would do the Job best should get it in my opinion.

Name me a European leader even close to him?

Erm... Dubya? Raygun Ronnie? Tricky Dicky? And Clinton was laughed at more than scorned, but still.

I guess that depends on what part of the country they were from.

There are parts of the country where people may not have heard of Hank Williams or Buck Owens.

Europeans don’t create sporting competitions, call them the World Series and be the only country involved.

Well, actually Canada has a team that won "The World Series" twice and are still in the league. Just saying. πŸ˜‰

It may be a generational thing; playstation came after Jim Morrison.

BTW, Jim Morrison's grave is in Paris; it is something of a pilgrimage site, for some.

Does the playstation generation know Mozart? Yes, if they saw the movie Amadeus ... But I doubt they could name five other classical composers whose last names do not start with 'B.'
