I have friends of both genders who I respect equally. I know some very smart women, but there are so many that are just plain stupid. The same goes for guys. I think there is some cultural pressure for women not to be seen as more intelligent for some reason, I can't understand this, but I see it all the time with girls that just refuse to realise their potential and just drink, have sex and aim for mediocrity. I think the reason their tend to be more guys in science and math isn't that we are smarter, but that girls are more sensitive to being seen as geeks. They learn early on not to be too good at math or chess for that matter. The irony is that girls think they will be seen as less attractive for being smart, but it is really just the opposite with a lot of guys. Just those ones that tend to like stupid women are the ones that sleep around more.

which means the human race is lessor for it, smart parents tend to
have smart kids so if a smart girl dumbs herself down so as not to
appear to be a nerd she gets matched up with someone more
on the mediocre side. I happen to love smart women, they are
awesome.

I honestly have not met these men, and if I did I'd tell them right to their face that they're immature morons.

Seriously though, you guys are checking us up, and it's not good for us. You don't need us anymore - hell those buzzy shaky things are our ...[text shortened]... o problem with that. It's just that alot of your kind is into these boy toys and not real men.
It's true that women no longer need men for the traditional reasons, this is not to say women don't need men. I have the ability to work and support my family without a mans intervention, therefore as a women I can be more selective about the men I choose to keep company with. Women do not want to change the face of masculinity, we just want to equal out the playing field. I know men who like sports, I know men who don't. I know women who like sports, I know women who don't. It's not so black and white of an issue.

I also believe that underneath it all woman are still looking for a man who can support her just not on a financial level, more of an emotional one. And women are still of a nurturing nature which instills a need for caring for someone.

The only things that are really changing in respects to relationships is the need for equality. If I work just as many hours and pay just as many bills as my partner does then why would it be expected of me to come home and do all the housework? It doesn't make a man any les of a man to do dishes does it? Just like it doesn't make me any less of a woman if I change the oil in the car.

I think people need to focus more on the similarities between the sexes and stop trying so desperately to create two seperate species. We are the same in our basic needs and desires. We all want to be loved and respected. We all want to be accepted for who and what we are and we all want to share our lives and our love with someone of a deserving nature who will return the same acceptance and love.

As far as the boy toy thing goes, what's wrong with that? Haven't men been been bouncing bimbos of their knees for centuries opting for the plaything over a real women? No difference.

A real man will attract a real woman in the end. Like minds will attract each other. Men with a low opinion of women will attract low quality of women and vice versa.

Well as for cultural pressure, when I attended college there was hardly a man to be found. It was mainly women who were exceeding in the maths and sciences as the few guys that were in attendance were often too preoccupied with getting laid.

Are you talking doing well in math and science classes, or majoring in math or science?

So, would it be OK for me to have a child with a woman then kick her out? I could raise it on my own.

Both, doing well in maths and science, as I did, as well as some friends who went on to power engineering, instramentation and geophysics. Just to name a few.
