Two questions:

Are these new episodes being released in America (and where and
when)?

Have they released any of the old (original) episodes on DVD?

Loads and loads of Dr Who DVDs are available in the UK on Region 2.
Get yourself a multi-region DVD player and you're sorted.
Most modern TVs will display both NTSC and PAL, so unless you're watching Fred Flintstone's TV, you won't have a problem.

Damn, I missed it on Saturday and missed the Sunday repeat on BBC4.
I wonder if it'll be repeated?

I used to watch many of those old sci fi shows in reruns.. but.. never got into dr. who because I found it just too corny yet I liked the idea.. When I heard they were doing a remake, I knew it was going to be good..

I grew up in the 70's and Dr Who was THE only thing to watch of an evening.
Admittedly, it used to scare the bejesus out of me, but I just couldn't tear myself away from the telly.
With the new series, I see exactly the same thing with my 8-year-old son.

I felt that way when I used to watch Tales from the Darkside as a kid..
