Okay, you fixed the word "BRITISH" but you left "horensous" and here I was going to make a brilliant SMACK DOWN on The United Stated of Manifest Destiny about the way their spelling is awful. You ruined my moment again!
Now I'll have to go with their complete inability to recognise sarcasm.
Oh, and all of their stand-up comedians are not funny. That's not sarcasm.

What about Dennis Leary? He was a comedy genius! And Rich Hall! And Richard Pryor! And Reginald D Hunter!
Bill Hicks was the greatest, most provocative stand-up comedian of all time.
Richard Pryor is also on that all-star list but for different reasons.
Originally posted by darvlayActually yes, I meant Bill Hicks but got 'em mixed up because of the overlap of material. I still liked Leary though. And Eddie Murphy in his early stand-up stuff too. And Steven Wright (think that's his name...). Don't know Soupy Sales, must look him up.

But on reflection, that's not really many considering the size of the country.

I'm curious to know who the decent English stand-up comedians are so I can check them out. Can't say I know of any besides Izzard...
I know Billy Connolly but he's Scottish.

edit - Then there's Lee Evans, whom I'm still undecided about but you've gotta admire his energy.
