btw, you could make your money you lost on england back by putting it on chile against honduras, last i checked paddpower were giving 8/13 on them. super odds imo.

The post that was quoted here has been removedI disagree, England played well yesterday! One massive blunder messed up what would have been a fine win, but i think it will give England a good reason to find the extra 5% they will need if they are going to win this thing. USA regrouped well after going behind and defended excellently. I watched the full game again today and it was only really our finishing that let use down.
Yes, Germany do look very good, but Australia just weren't closing down players on the ball and got served a crushing lesson as a result. If they had been playing England they'd have been playing at twice the pace and wouldn't have had anything like as much time on the ball. I think this is the best start i've seen England have in the World cup in my life time, All the pundits were writing off the US, even after the game, but i watched them beat Spain last year and they should have beaten Brazil in the final as well! The best is definitely yet to come, we have two easy opponents and two weeks to get things right. 😀
Originally posted by Marinkatombsemi finals and then it's bye bye. on paper as long as they win the group it's plain sailing to the semis, probably a mediocre ghana side and then the winner of the 1st in group a, second in-group b last 16 match. group a being the worse group in the world cup and either south korea or nigeria getting second in-group b. hardly freighting.
Laugh away, semi-finals at least! 😉
holland or brazil in the semi ----> bye
