Sure, it effected me when it came out, Strauss, Also Sprach Zarathrustra, still gets me. Some people hated 2001 but I liked it. Saw it when it first came out and endured a hell of a long line that first day it came out too, in Santa Monica back when I lived in Venice Beach.

Here is Mozart's 20th piano concerto the same way as the Bach:

Don't worry, my IQ was way too high so I have been on a strict IQ reduction program for years.

serious question for you , sonhouse...
and of course,
any other squwwible who decides to chime in,

there must have been a time or two when you've finally got around to reading a thread that was already 12 pages long...
and,
to yer chagrin, you found it to be fascinating...
you want to reply to dozens upon dozens of posts, because the topic is so interesting,
but,
as usual,
by the time you've gotten around to adding yer own two cents worth,
the whole thread is about knitting, or cats, or menstruation...

how do you deal with the anguish, of knowing that you could have made a difference in the lives of millions just by yer contributions,
but,
because you were off sailing for a weekend you missed the window of opportunity???

as you may have surmised, i am in a painful place right now,
so please,
be gentle with me...

If that is not just sarcasm, not sure, I am also dealing with serious issues. Wife with 5 operations in 6 months, last one for cancer which went well and other social issues I won't go into here, I don't have time for a lot of posts like some people who spend 24 hours a day on the comp or smart phone.

Things are extremely tense at my house right now and will be for a couple of years.

I am 74 years old and am forced to work full time and drive 250 klicks a day for that so my life isn't so great right now.

I am a musician, having played some significant gigs but now just have time to compose a few tunes on guitar and mandolin, snatching a hour here and there for practice.

Hey kids, you can try this at home.
Guaranteed to raise your IQ by maybe a little bit... or not. Results may vary.
