@divegeester saidThat is funny.
Nevertheless I am satisfied that my presence here sufficiently annoys you such that focusing on it brings some small measure of joy to your online existence.
@wolfgang59 saidThis is rubbish, even for your backwater soh.
Do you mean goose step?
Ask dive.
@indonesia-phil saidNice work.
To find out if it's 'duct' or it's 'duck'
You might find that your all out of luck
So let's take a breather
It could really be either
And anyway who gives a fiddle.
(I couldn't think of a rhyme at the end there)
@indonesia-phil saidI’m still thinking about a diving trip to Indonesia; I trust duck-tape isn’t used much....?

@divegeester saidWe tend to use strips of banana leaf, made sticky using the juice of an under - ripe mango, plucked from the tree at dawn on the second Tuesday before the summer solstice. Works every time!

@indonesia-phil saidCould you put that into poetic verse please?

@ghost-of-a-duke saidIf called by a panther,
Could you put that into poetic verse please?

I don't have a son.
Now go polish your jack boots.
@wolfgang59 saidLots of politicians are reported to have said something “consistently” when it was repeatedly, persistently, inconsistent with the facts or with their own previous statements.
Depends which friend - one would laugh at me and say "It's ducT tape"
If the point you are making is that people call it duck tape I agree ... but they are wrong (unless as we have established it is that brand)
Lots of people call duct tape duck tape.
Lots of people call heptagons septagons.
Lots of people call hippopotamuses hippopotami.
Lots of people call a die ...[text shortened]... confuse affect and effect.
Lots of people confuse licence and license.
Lots of people are wrong.
@sonhouse saidSonhouse, I’m calling this story of yours a total fabrication. Either back it up with some documentation or admit that you’re a liar.
@drewnogal
Something like that happened where I used to live, Glendora California when I was 14 years old.
I was playing in the street and saw this jet flying very low streaming smoke and I saw the pilot trying to force the hatch open which was stuck. He then aimed the plane in the middle of a street where it hit and dug a hole ten feet deep. In the house just to the rig ...[text shortened]... jured thanks to the last thing the pilot did, direct a failing jet away from houses. He was a hero.
