If you are on the either line you are head to head regardless, if you are tackling through the line the running back will have his head down low so you can crack it, if you tackle in the chest and time your lift and drive you crack them... anyway, its not spearing if you put your arms out as well, its hard to make a flying tackle at rib shoulder level without a bit of head in there for fun 😉

I only ever got called for spearing once, at the level I played the refs just never called it.

We used to judge a game on how much of the opposions paint we had on our helmets as the end of the game!

helmet to helmet hits are only called when a player hits the quarterback. if you look at the game you see those type of hits all the time only when someone hits a qb is when the flag is thrown.

I saw a safety get the call a few weeks ago... The Receiver was up to catch the ball, coming down. The Safety jumped head first up in the air arms to his side and planted his helmet right into the guy's facemask.

They said something about not being able to "Hurl" yourself helmet first.

well i wear cammiese to work everyday so i dont think it is possible to wear it there but i assure you i will get pictures of me wearing it in a very public place where people know i am a colts fan! man this is gonna suck
