Old Bill may be disgustingly rich and it may be seen as grossly unfair to poorer countries but look at the US military budget. About $400 billion PER YEAR. How many countries GDP does that add up to?
This is 10 times more than the next highest spender on the military - Britain, approx $40 billion this year (more than Russia!!!). This to me is truly disgusting when compared to the impoverished state of the third world. Just how much military might does the US need? I think it would be better to invest some of this money in building bridges to other countries and helping them rather than opting for total domination through strength of arms. After all, when you make more friends you have less need for armies. I'm sure many Americans would agree.

Rob - your point about Bill's head on a pike is OK by me. An extra $7.27 from Bill's stash in my pension fund will always be welcome.
Are you of British extraction by any chance? Heads on pikes is an old English tradition, much favoured for dealing with common upstarts who became a bit to powerful for the liking of the authorities. 🙂
