What a bunch of softies. They crossed the line for what is acceptable in these forums, and if they cannot recognise where and how they did this they have no place in modern society.
We shouldn't all need to be spoon-fed reasons for others reactions to our behaviour. I've been banned from the forums, and on each occasion I knew fully well why this was - I didn't need an explanation from anyone, be it mod, clan member, or monkey.
This place get more and more like a creche each day. Pathetic.

I'll look for a time machine to find a place for myself.
Originally posted by NordlysI made a personal choice to step over the line. Sometimes on my bike I do similar - it's called the red light choice - there's no traffic in 4 directions at a cross roads, it's early in the morning and no-one is around - the light is on red. Do I continue, or stop? The rules state I should stop, but I might choose to continue and sometimes this is what I do.

I wouldn't bother looking for a time machine - I hear they're quite expensive. When you compare this cost against what you might learn from going back and what you actually lost (a few days forum posting rights), it's probably not worth it.
Time for a new, and purposeful, crusade noodles!
Originally posted by rhbWell, I don't think it would be worth it either, I actually quite like living in a modern society, but you said I didn't have a place in it.

Then how would you know why?????

That's why I was replying to Loose Screw, who appears to know more about this than you do.
I'll spell it out for you. There are two issues:
1) Forum bans should be publicly announced and justified
2) Forum bans should be accompanied by an explanation to the banned persons.
LS was proposing 1), while you're reffering to 2).
Originally posted by rhbWell, I know from experience that you can get a ban without having the slightest clue that you might have done anything wrong. But your experience says that can't be, so I must be an idiot who doesn't have a place in modern society.

I am sure most bans are for reasons the poster will be able to figure out xymself, and apparently sometimes people do get explanations or are even warned rather than banned right away. But it's a fact that this isn't always the case. By generalising your personal experience and saying that all bans are both deserved and not needing an explanation, you basically say that people like me or Dr Strangelove are lying. We aren't.

I trust the mods too, on the whole.
However, it HAS happened in the past. To me. It took me longer than the duration of the ban to discover the reason why I was banned.
I disagree that it is always deserved too.
