I was fed up with this by no.97, I mean what does it prove... the top 100 as voted by c4 viewers is hardly a representative sample, so I switched to watch beeb - saw most of the Heysel documentary instead.
That said it is nice to see Nick Drake got in at 85, if only I had had 20 minutes more patience to see that bit.
I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!!
1 RADIOHEAD - OK Computer
This pile of crap has no place anywhere near a CD player, never mind the bloody top 10. Bunch of whining maggots.
2 U2 - The Joshua Tree
The unforgettable fire was a much better album. So this is proof of the pudding that it's a commerical list
3 NIRVANA - Nevermind
Yeah...right. How on earth can an album where you can't understand a bloody word of what's being sung be in a top 10? Surely lyrics, rythme, originality and melody are what the top 10 should be based on. If you can't understand them, what's the bloody point?
4 MICHAEL JACKSON - Thriller
This one could be in a top 10. Not mine, but it was a convincing album in its time
5 PINK FLOYD - Dark Side of the Moon
I personally don't see what's so great about this album. Animals, Wish you were here and the Wall all seem so much better to me. But better a pink floyd album in the top 10 than a Madonna album
6 OASIS - Definitely Maybe
Definately not
7 THE BEATLES - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
At last a real album deserving the attention it seemingly has found
8 MADONNA - Like a Prayer
WHAT? It's like a spontanious nose bleed. Jeez....
9 GUNS N' ROSES - Appetite For Destruction
Sigh
10 THE BEATLES - Revolver
Okay. I can handle this one. I don't see why it should be ranked higher than The White album though
