I said that as a joke, I didn't realize it's become a common misconception now.

I've played Rock Band, not sure how similar it is... but it was a fun dirty little secret. I played drums, and worked the mic. I passed on the guitar for fear I might mess up my real playing.

yea rock band is very similira to guitar hero. some could ay the same exact.
to play expert on rockband is nothing when compared to playing expert on guitar hero.
many people i know play the real guitar and say it actually helps with dexterity.
some songs are very intense and difficult. i plan on learning how to play guitar soon thanks to this game. 🙂

Its tough on expert but I can manage to beat it. The toughest part is the intro. Im also close to getting 4 stars on it!!😛

You want something really fun and addicting, get a guitar and play the songs for real. I have never played guitar hero. Just doesn't seem right when I can play the songs for real. But I'm sure many guitar players do, just as football players play Madden. bad analogy 😉

I have 2 Gibson SGs, 1 Ibanez Roadstar II with different pickups, 1 Fender Starcaster, 1 Marshall JMP 50, 1 Lead 100 Mosfet head, 1 Marshall 9000, delays, doublers, signal processor, and several stacks.

I don't need Guitar Hero. I am one. I can plug in and kill a rodent from 50 feet away. No game can top that.

But you don't have to be a guitar player to play it. Some of the songs are good and most of them provide a challenge.
