By the way, the worst treatment I got from the police force when I was living in L.A. came from Hispanic officers (of the like: Jimmy Rodriguez, Larry Sanchez, etc). Blood guarantees nothing.

Glad you agree. With all the years I've been shooting and the wide range of revolvers/autoloaders I've owned, I believe I have a better idea of what I'm talking about than someone who read something in a magazine once.

Okay, since this seems to be the original thread, I'll ask here.
Like ATY, I've thought about buying a gun but for me it would be just in case someone breaks in my house while I'm here. I've taken some karate instruction and feel I can protect myself fairly well against unarmed intruders, but just in case the guy is 250 lbs or has a gun, I'd feel better sitting in the dark hearing him coming down the hallway if I had a gun of some kind. I'm 5'3" and about 105 lbs. so I don't think a huge freaking .44 or something large is my best option. I would want something semi-auto so that I don't have to be fumbling in the dark loading single bullets into a revolver when I'm scared. I just want a nice .380 maybe like a Beretta or something.
Any suggestions?

Taurus just came out with a small concealed carry .380, but, for another $200 you can have the better Sig.
