I have a friend who has a permit to carry and I can see the change when he does
without his gun he is rather timid
just how much does having a gun change one's personality?
I would guess your friend feels more confident - if he is that timid. I am not sure that is a bad thing.
Doesn't change mine. I know who I am, why I carry. I am not seeking to harm anyone unless they give me a legit reason.
I have much respect for guns and a healthy fear as I have stated.

Originally posted by lemondropI tried to research this and didn't succeed. The studies on gun ownership and personality changes focus on the dangers when gun owners age and become susceptible to dementia. Dementia in some neurological disorders can express itself in paranoia, REM-sleep dreams that activate physical violence as the systems that render us paralyzed during REM-sleep fail (eg in Parkinson's disease); hallucinations and deep depression. Keep an eye on your elders around guns, and on yourself, as they and you age.

But don't be paranoid about it. 🙂

You must have a big willy. It's the ones with the small willies that need a gun to compensate for their lack of equipment.
Nice to know you're not a redneck Lemon. Some of your fellow countrymen think it's cool to be packing.
but surrounded by a bunch of weirdos, some packing
