I have seen Harry S. Truman, Dwight David Eisenhower, Gen. Douglas MacArthur, Arturo Toscanini. I have been alone in a small airport waiting room with then senator from SD Tom Daschel....new HUD appointee by Barack Obama....(we did not speak), and was alone backstage in the Seattle Opera House when Sir Arthur Fiedler, founder and conductor of The Boston Pop ...[text shortened]... a senior in high school and engaged to the trombone player in the Seattle Symphony at the time.

Wow! I have only met a few:
I met Sen. Ted Kennedy when he came for a drink in the evening to briefly shmooze at a law firm I worked at in 1993. We readied ourselves for hours and he stayed 10 minutes. I stood behind Carly Simon in a Martha's Vineyard grocery line in the mid-90's. She was very tall and strong-looking. When I was a kid, I met and had an autograph signed by Anthony Perkins, who played Norman Bates in the movie, Psycho.

As a musician, I've played with all sorts of famous people and played for kings and queens.

I haven't met Kim Peek, but I have "met" Jerry Newport (the real person the "whale" in "Mozart and the Whale" is based on) on a mailing list, and I have heard Ros Blackburn (whom Sigourney Weaver spent time with to prepare for her role as Linda in "Snowcake" ) speak at a conference. I have met several people who are quite famous within the autistic community, e.g. Jim Sinclair or Gunilla Gerland, but most people outside the autistic community have probably never heard about them.
I got an email from my mother recently telling me that she'd met Kim Peek (the inspiration for "Rain Man"😉 when he spoke at the school where she teaches, which is probably the most interesting famous person encounter I've heard of recently.
Iggy Pop told me F you once at a record store.
I met Hubert Humphrey at a shake hand greeting thingee
I live in Scottsdale Az and have met many baseball players. Said hello to Michael Jordan when he was trying to make it to the Big Leagues.
My most recent thrill was when I went to the MGM Grand in Vegas for the DelaHoya Maywhether fight. i was sitting on a ledge watch the stars and saw some beautiful girl. I said to whoever was sitting next to me that i was glad my wife didn't see me oggle her. the guy laughed and we joked around...he was he Evander Holyfield...great guy. Soon a bunch of NFL and rappers came by but I only joked around with their security guards.
I worked a metal decector at the 41st annual salute to excellence, at the four seasons. Among others, Henry Kissinger was there, but the best moment was when i heard the booming voice of James Errol Jones. He has a metal knee and set off the other machine, the one i wasn't on, and as he can back through mine i started saying "we're not worhy! we're not worthy!". He turned round and smiled 🙂

She is of Norwegian heritage and studied at conservatories in Norway and Germany. She lived in Norway for four years. She was a concert pianist when she was younger. Maybe you will qualify as a "famous person" yourself someday! Baroque music is my favorite, by the way.

I've seen Alice Cooper many times at the Garcia's restaurant on Camelback around 46th St. I understand he loves mexican food and goes there often, usually during the restaurant's slow hours around 3pm.
Last time I was past there tho, it looks like the place has changed hands, No more Garcia's. 😞
I also once saw Chuck Berry at the Lambert-St.Louis airport about 5 years ago. The place was not that busy that day and he was flirting with all the girls behind one of the ticket counters. He seemed quite fit and agile for a guy in his late 70's at the time.
