I have no idea little brother, that has never happened to me. Ask Russ. He seems to know everything (in the tech. sense). See you Monday!

Hey, Jared.

You have what is known as an "unprotected" computer... People can do what they want with your system. I suggest you get a Firewall and Virus protection system. A good one is System Suite 5 at v-com.com

It will keep them from doing pop-up and other 'Not so nice" things to you. Sorry you are having problems. It is something that happens to everyone who uses the net long enough.

Mike

Ps... there are some real "guru's" on RHP... maybe one of them can be of more help than this. Good luck.

Strangest thing I ever heard of. What Operating system are you using? XP? Win 98???

Only at RHP??? I've never heard of this problem. Sounds anoying. What is the web address of the site that keeps poping up???

This info may lead to a solution.

do you mean "outlaw.com"... you spelled it "outwaw.com"...?

<edit> I have tried several variations of your site... no problems here... no notices of problems or virus's etc...

I just hit that site... I did get a "sliding" popup... a slider is where you close an advertisement and another slides into the start bar...

Try 'Right Clicking" in the start bar on the adverts and select "Close" on the buggers. That cleared them on my XP Pro system...

PS... I find it interesting that at that site... the first and most prominent advertisement is for a product that "Blocks Unwanted Pop-ups"... go figure.

I blocked the cookies... and closed the start bar pop-up also.

Hey J.... Right click "my computer" and do a properties... learn a little about your machine and you can perhaps figure some more stuff out about this problem.

A sure fire fix...

Unplug from the internet... whether "always on" or modem.

Right click Explorer and do a "Properties"...

Clear history and delete download contents.

Reboot... then never use that site again. It's been a long time since I used Win98, but this happened to me quite often on that system. What system are you opperating?

Select "Help" in the start button... select "About" to see what windows operating system you are running.

'Tis a simple fix, try what SVW said to do. Print it out and give it a shot off line.

Edit! Did I say 'Tis?
