I'm half Dane but have not heard it spoken. Norkies abound in this area of North Dakota. I married one of them. A favorite word that can mean just about anything is "Uffda!" Everyone says it here...even the Germans.

I think that in Norway it means that something is unpleasant, uncomfortable, annoying.
Something like the Swedish 'Usch' or 'Usch då'.
