I'm looking at starting up some home brew. Do any of you brew your own beer and if so do you have any tips?
I have a friend that does that. I almost remember the last time I had a tasting of about 10 different brews, Fruit beers, lagers, ales etc. My favorite was a dark ale he called The Brown Clown. 😕 It was rather nutty IMO. 🙂
I do it. Be prepared for a strong Yeast taste and way too much sugar.
You'll more than likely get a head ache unless you filter it 4000 times.
Also, with home brew, Lighter is better, Dark beers are a hard brew.
Unless you like that nasty mud taste?
I brew light beer and I can handle it. I don't drink so much I get drunk and have a massive head ache though.
Save that for store bought beer.
Best of luck to ya!

Home brewing does not get you beer that tastes like beer in the store.
Home brewing gets you beer that you choke down.
If you drink enough you will get the worst head ache of your life.
It has to be filtered and a home brew kit just can't do it.
I wouldn't say I am the brewmeister, more like a drunk who knows what tastes good.

I've had the stuff you speak of though.
I forgot to mention the awards my friend has got in Micro brewery competitions. 😕

Now I must engage in groin punches to punish myself.

I have no problem with Lager but I can happily drink Pilsener all day and not get smashed. Not sure why but I'm not complaining.
You see...The whole point of beer drinking is to get smashed and wear socks with sandals and dance next to a bon fire.
Or are you new?
