Ghandi said: "Be the change that you want to see in the world" 😉 Or are you just another whining part of the problem?

Political propositioning? 🙄 Is that another tradition in the Excited States?

Currently I'm in three local "groups" that are trying to influence change in our community. 😉 Urban density. Hospital relocation. Retail placement.

I firmly believe that if we all took action at the grass-roots level in our various communities, we'd end up much further ahead. That's my proposition!

It can however, be very frustrating dealing with idiot politicos and greedy developers 😉 But it's hard to win if you whine rather than fight....

I laughed and laughed driving home, and laughed even harder the next day when he emailed me back saying, "Great, I think we can work something out."

God, those guys are persistent.

Got something like that too the past days and I see why you're laughed.
Damn, I wish I had this idea - unfortunately I just deleted this mail.

I can't speak for all Americans, but I just don't see that patriotic spirit. Most of the people I know, can't stand our President (and most of our current leaders). I think there's a pretty large percentage of us that find our government and their decision-making process quite embarrassing.

I don't think you can effectively stereotype Americans. Our c ...[text shortened]... the media for most of the prevalent stereotypes. No country has a monopoly on stupid.
OK RB, you can come to the Bar-B-Que as well.

Ok, so when we are done judging everybody by what lines of a map they live within, can we start judging everybody by what their favorite food is?

Ignorancw from whichever source does injustice to us all and ignorance is like stereotypes,a clear sign that the human race has a long way to go if we are eventually to live in any kind of peaceful world. As an American i have found that ordinary people are largely speaking supportive of our desire to assist all we can in ridding the world of governments and other authorities whose sole purpose for existing is to compel ordinary people to live and die in abject poverty pain and suffering. Our friends and supporters well realize that those are our true intentions and those who will not assist have an equal right not to do so.How easy it appears to be for many people to conveniently forget that were it not for Americans the freedoms that they now so easily enjoy would not even exist. it is a fact that poverty and wealth have from the beginnings of humanity existed side by side and unfortunately it appears that this will continue for the foreseeable future. An Americans right to bear arms is his [or hers]guarantee of an ability to defend oneself against unlawful assault and in no way indicates a right to use such arms in any unlawful manner.Weapons such as guns are legally for protective purposes only , and do NOT indicate a willingness by any person to use them for any other reason. It may be hoped that at some time in the future all humans will no longer feel the need to bear arms but until such a time may arrive it is a democratic right that all adult persons should feel they have the means at hand to protect themselves from those who would wish to do them harm.

To be honest, I have always seen much in Americans very similar to the British. Many different views and lifestyles mostly generally accepted. Both have a sense of humour (British is best, of course). Both lead the world in modern music (Rock, Pop etc). There are, of course, many differences as well.
