This is not a direct effect on my life and there are so many people this is affecting but it IS affecting people who contribute to shaping culture in significant ways:

I just read that that John Prine, musician and creator of classic blues/country/ folk songs such as Angel from Montgomery, is in the hospital due to complications from COVID-19 and was intubated on Saturday. It doesn’t look good for him.

If nothing else, this makes me extremely sad.
