I'd have a very high seriousness score, were I not also a father. I wish I could support a family playing chess!
Now that I think of it, I don't know how to rate my seriousness. Six or seven I think.
My wife would say that I'm too serious about chess. 😉
My wife feels the same about me. I don't think she understands my addiction.
Originally posted by Cheshire CatI could say at the begining i was 9 because I used to take a set of pieces and analyze my game one by one. But now with more than 80 games it is hard, I just try not to be time out and play. you will find a lot of mistakes in my games and my rating is going to fall soon he he.
Judging by your rating, I'd say your plaing more like a 9. 😲
Has happened to you when you have a hard position (doesn't mean lost) you try to skip the game to think later and when almost being timed out play fast and all that time you waited was wasted???
Originally posted by PaulieWell, I don't know. I guess usually below 2 since I seldom spend more than 10 seconds per move. On the other hand, I do some serious games, perhaps 7-8.
I just thought it might be fun if people put down on a scale of 1-10 how serious they are about chess. 1 being not really bothered, and 10,well speaks for itself.
Me i`m probably about a 5. Win some lose lots, but i dont mind. I just enjoy playing.
