What she is really trying to say is, at work she sees people getting on and moving up the ladder because they are making an effort, while she is stuck in the same seat and same job she has done for many years and always passed over for promotion.
The people she calls “shmooze’s and strokers”, are usually the people who want to get on in life and are prepared to work for it, unlike her.
From her comment it would appear that Russ is not allowed to post in his own forum or mix with us menials as this could be construed as “brown nosing”.
His efforts have probably far outweighed hers I would imagine, and I for one as a non sub scum bag (she paid a subscription to him), really appreciate his work on this site, while he lets me play for free, and therefore prepared to kiss his butt!
Its nasty comments like that, that make the workplace a living hell for some people, the people I know who do it are usually bullies trying to drag everybody down to their level.
Or am I completely wrong!
Edit: In my onion that is.
😉

What are you blathering about? Has nothing to DO with when I did or didn't see it. It is this enthusiastic, har-har-har, good-one, rec-rec-rec attitude.
that's pretty sad.

Say, you wouldn't happen to be one of them who "works" your way to the
top, would you? 'Cause I got job opportunities here at my company right now
if you need it.
Disclaimer! If you're not female or hiddeously ugly, I shouldn't be
held responsible for you not getting to "work" your way to the top.

Why is it that people feel the need to shmooze and stroke "higher-ups"? I see enough of it at work, then get to see more of it here. At work, it may get you some ill-deserved reward. But what in the aitch do people expect to receive here, for their exhaggerated praise and head to foot bowing? Ick.

I hear that crap everyday at the Jobcentre.
And as for the retard comment, that is about your level eh?
