I have to work 12hrs, the busses stop early and have longer wait times between busses, nothing is open downtown, all the stores open at noon(when I have to work), and there is nothing on TV(not like I have the time).

If you like to read, get an exciting novel and only read it on Sunday (perhaps during your longer waits between busses), then you'll look forward to Sundays (sorta).

Yes, Sunday, Bloody Sunday - terrible stuff. Really depressing day, it always feels that little bit colder, darker, and less fun. Lethergy rears its ugly head on the day of rest

I love to read and get plenty of time to read at work. The weather in Canada isn't really conducive to outdoor reading. If you go outdoors in Canada its usually because you have somewhere more important to be. Also that still doesn't address the problem of the only stores open are 7-11s and grocery stores. :'(

read a book.
go for a jog.
learn to play the guitar.
write e-mails and letters to the people who you should have written to ages ago - you know who they are.
learn a foreign language.
go to the flicks.
ride your bike at least 20k.
find a new recipe and cook it.
visit a museum or art gallery.
tidy your stinking flat.
go to the flower market and buy a new plant.

but maybe not all at the same time.

Hmmm... I think you may have missed the "I have to work 12hrs" part.

Over here, even the grocery stores are closed, and we don't have 7-11s. And the first bus (in the part of town I'm living in) goes at 5:30 pm. Luckily I don't have to work, though. 🙂

Also on sundays, hardly anyone moves. Sunday is the one day i have a break from school work and i never have more than 2 people moving at once. It is horrible.

same as the outer hebrides. and they chain the swings in the playpark up on saturday night. when i was a kid, my classmates didn't watch telly on a sunday, nor did their mothers hang out the washing. there are no buses. the pubs, petrol stations and shops are all shut. the churches are all open though, and they do a roaring trade. no wonder i left when i was 17.

I don't think that does anything to help Sundays. God I hate Walmart.
