I believe the guy Starrman is looking for is Laurence Tureaud (AKA Mr. T from the A Team).
The short answer is that he is still desperately trying to work, but not finding much. If you pull up his filmography, you will see that he is still doing movies, but mostly cameos or uncredited. He also is still doing television, but to about the same extent.
I believe he is suffering from some debilitating disease
I forget which but sad to hear an icon of my childhood suffer
Alternatively you can take Mr T with you anywhere (as i do)

UUUUHHHHHHH!
edit 1: sp
edit 2: just checked the link. I pity the fool that tries to take the pi$$ from Dr T.
I have a dream that Mr T will visit me during bass season and we will go fishing in the early misty morning.
Me and Mr T skimming across the smooth water in my bass boat as the sun comes up and starts to chase
the mist away; five miles downstream to where the bass play; him talkin' like him and me just smiling and
sayin' "yeah, that's right Mr T."
I cut the big Mercury and we glide up to the spot. I move from the travelling seat to the fishing seat at
the bow so I can control the little electric trolling motor. Mr T takes the seat aft. We both have plenty of
room to cast.
We fish in silence for an hour; I catch two lunkers and Mr T gets three. We always fish live-release so the fish
get to recuperate. Before he releases his third fish Mr T looks at it hard and says, "I think this is the same sucka
I got before, he must be comin' back for seconds!"
Just the perfect remark to end a perfect morning.
