1. it is unattributed. those words are lyrics from Pink Floyd's 'Pigs on the Wing (Part One)', from their 'Animals' album. they were written by one Roger Waters.

i've always liked those lyrics, despite the somewhat jarring mixed metaphor (swimming in a fish bowl / running over the same old ground).

I was thrown off because my initial reaction was The Ink Spots:
