I havent had that problem here yet Martin. I used to play a bit of
chess on Yahoo!, and that problem goes on every day over there. A
really vulgar bunch. Perhaps we should recommend Yahoo! to the
person complaining you move too slow. Perhaps we should remind
them this IS a site for slow play!ππ

For the second time in a week I have been 'abused' by -
coincidently -
'new' members who seem to think that if you don't move within
seconds they have the right to complain about 'slow' moves.
Maybe we could have a message on the home page explaining that
this site is for Chess players and not five minute wonders ?

moved within the timeout period, and they have chosen not to time
you out out of the goodness of their heart. Typically, you only have
the right to expect 1 move per timeout period, so the eagar beaver
types should play games with short timeouts to avoid the potential
wait.
2. email abuse, in this fashion or otherwise needs to be addressed.
I will post a suggested solution to this on the the Site Idea Forum.
My idea, is that by default, an opponent should not be allowed to
email you. You should have the ability that only your buddy list can
email you. or that you can revoke an opponent's email ability to you,
on a per game scenario. or switch it on per game, or per user? discuss
on the site idea forum where I will post this idea..thanx

There's a flip side. In my opinion 1 move a day is entirely too slow.
And it even gets worse. I really don't get that.

Whats a MAP Knight?
And I'm not sure about so many games, I prefer to focus on a game.
But I may have to because the slow movers make me crazy.
Would you like to become a map Knight? Here is a post from King
Vaknso about what it means to be a MAP Knight.
I had a very interesting question posed to me in one of my games. I
would like to share this with you.
2 White Hi, I have just come from a victory over your knight,
UncleAdam. He suggested I talk to you about what it means to be a
Knight of Vaknso.
2 Black A Map Knight........Hummmmm let me think. A map knight is
a gentleman, A Map Knight operates with the highest code of honor at
Red Hot Pawn.
A Map Knight does not use a program and is willing to play fair at all
times.
A Map Knight accepts defeat honorable and victories gracefully. A Map
Knight is the best you are able to be.
A Map Knight understands that he is not right all the time and accepts
flaws in himeslf and is forgiving when he sees flaws in others.
A Map Knight has fun at Red Hot Pawn.....Want to join???
I do have fun at red Hot Pawn.
John (King Vaknso)
So would you like to become one of the Few,
the Proud, the Map Knights
