troll (plural trolls)
1. An instance of trolling, especially, in fishing, the trailing of a baited line.
2. (internet) Someone who posts to a newsgroup, bulletin board, etc., in a way deliberately intended to anger other posters and draw arguments, or otherwise disrupt the group's in ...[text shortened]... rates you and angers the pig." Now I'm done. As I said, I do not wish to anger the pig.
One of the biggest works of fiction ever printed. For some strange reason it has managed to brainwash millions of people for hundred of years.
I agree with this 100%, and not to piss anyone off but Debates is the LAST place I'd go for " intellectual debate".

Anyone claiming in the General Forum that the Bible is a truthful document is, by definition #2 above, a troll. Your post was for no other purpose than to inflame other posters and draw an argument, which you received, and well deserved. If you truly wished an intellectual debate on the subject, you would have posted in the Spirituality Forum, and you would have supplied your reasons for such an outlandish statement. You did neither; therefore you were trolling.

I see the trolls are working overtime today.

BTW, is that your daughter in the photo?

Then why is the Debates Forum allowed to continue, since you and who knows how many others consider it a sham? Is it a Debates Forum, as advertised, or is it not?
If its sole purpose is to contain the trolls so that they don't pollute the General Forum, then what is wrong with pointing out the escapees?
And by the way, Mr. Moderator, just because you agree with the trolling statement, it suddenly becomes non-inflammatory? I think not.
Originally posted by WulebgrSo, trolling is okay, as long as it is only pissing off Suzi? Nice.

I'd say you are beginning to flirt with the concept of harrassment.
"Oh, but that's okay. It's only Suzi."
Thanks, I almost forgot. π

Those people are entitled to that opinion, just as you're entitled to yours. The eagle and the flag in your avatar represent this right (among others), do they not?
You assume that just because someone posts their personal opinion (which we've already established they're entitled to), and it doesn't happen to agree with yours, that it was designed to inflame others.
Perhaps the problem is that it's easier to piss off some people than others. We've seen this over and over with you, Suzy. Time to get help.

Should I erase where you called him a troll also? Neither was alerted last I checked.

So, trolling is okay,
That's a cast in preparation for some trolling.
As for your questions, General is for things that don't seem to belong elsewhere. Both defending an attacking one's views of religious texts most often belongs in Spirituality, but occasionally crops up here.
It's easy enough to ignore the threads that don't interest you.

I personally prefer these discussions about religion take place in another thread so I don't have to look at them, but since they are here I am forced to deal with them in all honesty.
It's my opinion that nobody should try to force their belief on anyone else. I respect a person's right to believe that we are all going to burn in hell if we don't follow their chosen God. But that doesn't mean I have to have the same belief. That I share their delusions.
