this was in the mid fifties

1. Aged care home, office plug'n'cord switchboard, 1980, the kind where the operator could eavesdrop on the call. 5 females 17-50, sharing the workplace.

2. Near-city brothel, sales rep, lunchtime experience of a lifetime. Too good not to share with his male friend, right down to the last detail. Unmetered local call, so almost 2 hours long.

3. Crossed line.

4. Operator informed caller of his call's crossed-line status and the number and gender of listeners. His reaction to this information was priceless ... 😁😁😁😁😁 ... 😨
