as the life before you were born ? (if you exclude religious explanations)

I mean, we are so afraid of dieing. (I didn't spell that right, did I ?) But approx. last 15 billion of years until 1985. (when I was born) wasn't that slow passing and boring as one would think. πŸ˜›

Seriously, the matter I am composed of existed since the start of the universe but my parts don't remember that I experienced pain, boredom, fear, anything.
If this is life after death, so be it.

I just hope that soul can be recycled so I can born again as something/someone different. Maybe that's happening all the time anyways.

Who knows. (GB, please don't attack my thread with absolute truth from that other thread πŸ™‚ )

Na. This is it!

Energy cannot be created or destroyed, so it seems your last bit of energy goes into the room as a slight raise in temperature when your body cools and your electrical systems switches off...hehe πŸ˜›

Not really, if you refer to the big bang theory....first big bang, then alot of atom forming and stuff...
But the atoms that formed you must have already existed before you were born yes. They were part of your moms food and drinks, got transported and transformed into all the stuff your built from. After you grow a little you started to eat your own food ofcourse (i hope for you).

When you die, u either burn up or rott away...all these molecules find another purpose.

So, in that way, its kinda the same...(before and after death) but i wouldnt call it "life" lol.

and what is a soul? u ever seen one? read about it in a scientific article? me neither, lets assume souls are a made up thing thenπŸ™‚

I don't believe in an afterlife. I learnt that in an earlier life.

P.S. "It is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgement." (Hebrews 9:27). Go to school on the small word 'then'. Means you and

I will be around after our corporeal tents have returned to dust. Looks like this: Eternity Past)-------- [human history] -------- (Eternity Future

Let's not.

And if you had had the opportunity to learn of such things, you wouldn't, either.

You can begin with a realization that there is an awful lot more in the universe than the mere scrap represented by you and your own experience.

You remind me of the old man who said "If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself."

Only here, it's you in the afterlife saying, "If I'd known there was anything more than my earthly existence, I would have asked more questions and paid closer attention to the answers."

Maybe yes, maybe no. "Experience" it now...... unless you like the odds.

...

Who knows.
Why exclude religious explanations? Why not just say, "if you exclude the correct answer".

Who knows? God knows.

Why don't you try asking him about it?

why not?
why take these things for granted without any real reason to?
If there was some sort of absolute proof of the existance of souls i would like to learn about it, yes i would be very interested.

are you saying that all i represent and all my expreiences are "mere scrap"?πŸ™‚
and i never said there isnt anything more then what i represent or experience myself.

Well, I respect people and their beliefs. But that question was oriented towards more philosophical/agnostic/atheist type of forum posters because for people who believe in God and life after death, my question doesn't have any sense in the first place.

In addition to that, I am familiar with religious explanations so I wanted to hear some I am unfamiliar with.
