So yes, that study exists, but besides being rather fishy, not even that study claims that every soul weighs 21 g.
True, it only seems like one example, and his methods don't seem entirely scientific. I guess it persists because it seems scientific and therefore most people tend to give it more credence.

Interesting that the move 21 Grams took its title from this idea. I never saw that film; I might take a look now if I can find it.

Not many among the riff-raff of the General Forum understand this much.

zozo is beginning to look for answers though. That is a good thing.
I think you are bit pushy for my tastes...

You may know it without a doubt, but this does not make it fact.

It is still a matter of Faith, which is an important distinction.

I, too, know without a doubt there is life beyond the grave, but it is my Faith, not a fact.

Those who come back from "near-death experiences" seem to corroborate it, but this is still far from "fact".

You would really hate the Jehovah's Witnesses that canvas my neighborhood every Saturday morning then.

They are the reason I'm boycotting bicycles... 😕 I should apologize, though. I just can't decide whether you are confident or arrogant...

no. actually it is fact for me. I was declared dead. Then brought back. And, I remember vividly the point in between.this body was dead. But the true "me",if you will, was quite aware.

Fair enough.

You are truly blessed to be given that experience.

Edit: This is excellent testimony for the existence of the soul.

One of the points of that verse is that you can indeed do anything with God's help, if you only believe... but only IF it is the will of God.

I'm just using it to illustrate that it is my faith that is immense, not my ego. 😛

Temporary cessation of heart function (EKG) or partial loss of vital signs does not constitute or define death. Loss of brain waves (EEG) does.

Edit: Reason it does is because loss of brain waves signifys the soul's departure from the body.

Maybe you could start by asking yourself what constitutes life and what constitutes death. I'm not talking about the Wikepedia version, I'm talking about zozo's version.

being declared dead, covered with a sheet by the medical personal, for nearly 2 hours and watching it all take place from outside yourself, conversing with deceased loved ones, not to mention the Lord,is dead. I do not expect you to understand, but there is life after death.

There is mother dependent biological life in the womb. At the moment of physical birth, God imputes a soul and breathes human life into the

fetus. Your vanity mirror displays a temporary tent. At physical death, your immortal soul departs for one of two destinations for all eternity.

I respectfully disagree with this.

I won't go into intricate detail of exactly what I believe happens in the afterlife, for fear of either ridicule or yawning, but I think the "near-death experiences" people have is a tiny glimpse into what happens. They come back because it is not their time to go.

I think you go to a "holding area" if you will, to await Judgement Day.

Until you are judged, you cannot go to your final everlasting reward, be it Life, or Death.
