The last long weekend of the summer is less than 24 hours away.
People will be heading out in their campers or boats. Vacation destinations will be full and brimming with excitement.
Where will the RHP community go?
The National Safety Council (NSC) says there will be 439 deaths on US highways this Labor Day week-end. But I worry that with the high price of gas in the US, many people may cancel out-of-town trips and perhaps not drive at all this week-end. This might mean the death toll could be much lower than expected.
Fellow US-RHP'ers: the good folks at the NSC work hard all year to provide us with these statistics of doom. It would be unfair to throw away all their hard work because of factors (gas prices) beyond their control. May I suggest that all faithful RHP members (sub and non-sub alike) do their best to help the NSC reach its goal of 439 dead this Labor Day. We can all do our part by speeding, tailgating, and drinking/driving! If you know a local fellow RHP'er, invite them along as you zoom to your doom. If the total is still a little short on Monday afternoon, I can pick up any member in the south Texas area in my mini-van and drive it over a cliff.

I was PISSED OFF that the people from the next state were already heading to my state for their weekend of ripping off from our natural beauty (however, the cash flow is good, must admit) at noontime. NOONTIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
