It's so hard to talk about Saw on a public forum, as giving away anything takes away from seeing the movie. Someone started talking about what happens at the end of #3 once, and I ran screaming from the room. 🙂

I love the movies because of how they could sorta kinda happen, although construction of such things by one man with unknown income is silly to believe. Once I see a movie like that, I have to play it through in my head over and over and read about theories and thoughts.

That was my problem with the movie. It seemed all the cleverness, all the thought and effort was put into these gruesome scenarios and out-of-nowhere twists. Rather than having characters who react naturally to horrific circumstances, every bit of their behavior is contrived to propel a very raggedy plot forward in an effort to link the good scenes into a story.

I can certainly suspend disbelief but I can't hit it over the head and bury it in the backyard for a movie. It had a great premise but a lousy (forgive me) execution.

I've seen them all. I really liked Saw, as I love a good twisted story, and the fact that two unknowns wrote it together and filmed it on a low budget impressed me. Saw II sucked (IMO.) And Saw III, I thought, made up for the lacking number two.
