Well, driving home I see a dog on a back road. No houses for miles. The dog is in the middle of the road, I slow down and honk. I drive on....
Well, silly me can't keep driving. I go back. The dog is still in the road about quarter a mile from where I first saw it. I pulled up to just check out the dog.
Now, I have no time to take care of another dog... I am taking care of my father's Huge 200 lb. English Mastiff. I drive up the road to turn around.
Dang dog comes crusing up into the lot as I turn. I had to take the dog. He's about 6 months old? He's cute as heck! Now what?!
Dog is in my house... my wife and a friend are going to knock on doors to see if they can find the owner. It is too late to do that tonight, and I've got my work computer to fix Tuesday.
So, will I have a new dog come Wednesday?? I'd like to keep the dog, he seems pretty cool, and gets along with Sam the 200 lb. dog.
I should have kept driving... just like when I got my cat. Now what!?

I say saute the dog in some nice butter sauce with some garlic and onions...add salt and pepper to taste. Would be good with some au grautin potatoes and carrots on the side. With Butterscotch pudding for dessert...enjoy your new dog. Literally!!!
Anyhow...........
I don't think we'll be keeping the dog. My wife and a friend of mine are going to knock on some doors in the area. I'll be at the office with hope of retrieving info off a blown hard drive.
The dog ate like a pig, but yes... he's in good condition. We all think there is someone very upset about having lost this dog, and we all hope to find them. We sure hope they didn't ditch the dog.
So, I have some extra company for the evening. So far the dog has not dumped all over the house, and he's spending the night in a huge crate. He barked for a bit, but I had to be firm and let him bark. He's now stopped. With luck, I will get to sleep.

We have not found the dog's owner yet... Carl took a leak all over the office yesterday, that sucked. Today calling around to the pounds to see if anyone has been missing a dog.
Make some 'lost dog' flyers to tack up near where we found the dog.
Will NOT be keeping the dog, or my wife will surely leave me!
