Well, I don't know, most seem to be organised by schools or youth clubs, and people over 20 seem to be the exception (and I was over 30 when I heard about LAN parties the first time).
Of course there are other reasons why I probably wouldn't go; I am not into gaming.

Back to the topic of the thread... I have played some video games, too, believe it or not. The first video game I ever played was called "Mondlandung" (moon landing), and you had to land a rocket safely on the moon. We found out soon that it was much more fun to try to make as big craters as possible.
The post that was quoted here has been removedIt was a Jeep not a Tank on Swiv! Classic game!
I remember the good ol' days of Commodore 64. We'd all rush round my mates house to play, stick a tape in, go out to play football for 45 mins and come back to see if it loaded.
Elite, Frontier, A-10 Tank Killer, Apache Longbow, Double Dragon, Carmageddon - only a few of the games that dominated my early gaming childhood.

Too many good games to mention...
Completing 'Saboteur' on te C64 for the first time.
Finishing 'Soul Blade' on Ultra Hard level in 9 minutes with no continues.
Playing 'Daggerfall' for the first time.
Unwrapping 'Star Wars Galaxies' on xmas day.
Loading up 'Oblivion' for the first time.
Playing 'Street Fighter 2 Turbo' on 10 star for 24 hours straight under the effects of LSD with the telly upside down and using a mirror, and still winning.
