Mice

Long ago mine was normal looking with a nice silver and black body and long tail. Took him for granted; never even gave him a name. Then, I took ill and had to ship my stuff (including laptop) to my son in the Boston area. Sixteen months later, when my health returned, he flew down with the laptop and a few of my books to help with my move into a brand new highrise apartment. Updates galore. All cleaned up inside and out. He even used some kind of astringent acid and silver to bathe its intestines. My mouse was missing. It was the only one that old hp laptop ever knew. The new one must have been born late at night in a lonely, pitch black room. It's body looks okay but it has a v7 tattoo in silver on its back,; a bright red light on its belly and no tail. Maybe v7 is some kind of nutritious veggie juice for young mice. Anyway, I call her vera or v7 for short. Almost once a week I dust her two pectoral button muscles and the roller where a sternum should be with a moist tissue. Do you have a mouse, too?

Edit: Late last night a young Veterinarian friend, Dr N. Swain, stopped by. Over the "Evening's February House Special, Blue Goodness on the Rocks with Ginger Ale, Tall", Nicole asked if she could use my laptop to Google 'Mousse'. Soon as the Drop Down Box appeared she clicked the first line on the short menu, "mouse"; one click lead to another, until she landed on the RHP General Forum. Noticing my nickname she quickly read this thread while I was in the kitchen on my mission to fix seconds of our drinks. Laughing, she said I'd gotten the anatomy of V7 upside down.

Here's her correction: "It's body looks okay but it has a v7 tattoo in silver on its [grossly distended belly]; a [glowing horizontal] red light on its [table surface back] and no tail. [v7 is certainly a most nutritious] veggie juice for young mice. Anyway, I call her vera or v7 for short. Almost once a week I dust her two [top side, ample] pectoral button [mammaries] and the roller where a sternum should [definitely] be with a moist [towlette]." And, then, while closing the laptop, said: "Bobby Boy, what have you been up to this time? I do believe that mouse of yours is pregnant".

Yeah, time of the month Mummy...... Bobby just ran back up your leg.

Both mice, of course, on a running wheel.

No, but always been fond of mice. Could you explain more, v7? Is it a marking your rodent friend has?

Just reread, so ignore my question. I had a hedgehog who owned my home, a rat too, other critters, I find them easy to love. These little rodents, they are harmless and affectionite. I spelled that wrong. I'll try to fix it. affectionate

I like mice. Some people are afraid of them.

having worked in an office I thought I was well used to computers.
But when I bought this laptop I was looking for the mouse for nearly
an hour only to discover that it didn't have an external mouse.
I felt really dumb on discovering the integral mouse pad.

Then when people posted links I used to open another tab and actually type
in the link character by character instead of using copy and paste.

I have this laptop over a year now and I am still learning.
I'd say that there is at least 50% of uncharted territory
left for me to discover.
