Pioneers in any field often look ridiculous by modern standards. What he did was pretty revolutionary for his time. He helped open the door for a lot of people with his "shaking, slurring and lip-raising".

Oh, and then there's his music. Elvis was very talented. He had an amazing voice. Unfortunately, he was a spoiled neurotic rock star (very similar to many we have today). He was a hillbilly kid who was suddenly catapulted into mega-stardom. How would you handle that?

I'm sure many of today's groundbreaking bands will look a little silly 50 years from now. You're probably safe though. I seriously doubt you listen to anything that could be considered groundbreaking.

I can't say I like all of Elvis' music, but he did do a lot to help create the modern music scene we have today. I'm thankful for that.

In summary...you're really stupid.

He always had a band behind him, that puts him in the category of lead singer doesn't it?

I beat you to it by one minute, yet no one will read my post because it was unlucky number 15. 🙁

Besides the fact that Elvis had considerable talent, marketability, charm and charisma, he was also able to line up more free great looking female tail than he could poke and he married Pricilla who was totally hot. Say what you will, but in my book, he was the man! Also, based on what I had read and heard, Elvis was a black belt in Karate and wanted to be enlisted into the Secret Service by Richard Nixon. He also had a hot temper and a mean streak.

If she was rated at all, she was overrated.
