Aren't they still different countries though? Or is the UK just one big country? Sorry for not knowing in advance.
Originally posted by StarrmanHm, how do you know whether your bones are patriotic or not? Mine don't really communicate very much. Anyway, I display the flag of the country I have chosen to live in (which turns out to be a country Starrman either likes or would like to visit), as opposed to the country of origin or citizenship. I have never felt much attachment to my country of origin, after all I didn't choose to be born there. Maybe my bones disagree, though.
I for one have not a patriotic bone in my body. As such I've chosen a flag which represents either something I like or a place I would like to visit. It changes regularly.

Well, I wanted to see which country had the most high rated players (top 5 pages for now). So, here are your top 5 (6, there's a tie) countries.
1. Netherlands-13 players
1. U.S.A.-13 players
2. England-8 players
3. United Kingdom-7 players
4. Belgium-5 players
5. Poland-4 players
Sorry if I missed some countries, please feel ...[text shortened]... I will probably update this with top 10 countries on the top 10 pages next time.

Do we only have 50 people playing chess here???

What kind of report is that!? You should do them all! 🙂
I think to be fair England should be combined with the UK making *disappointed, submissive sigh* the country with the most top 5 page chess players here. Whew... it took a lot of will power to say that. Somebody bring me an American flag.
Actually, I'm not very patriotic and I like England. I just like to misrepresent my beliefs. But is that previous sentence true? Ooooh, gotcha. 😛 Ok, I've drifted around aimlesly on this thread enough. On to the next.
