Where did you go treking in China , have never been. What is the countryside like? Were the people freindly?
It was basically an organised tourist treck, the organisers were a bit too good at leading you towards the shops (for toilet breaks), and the prices are never marked. The locals were nice, especially when they heard me speak mandarin, but they are too used to seeing us as anything other than a cash cow, and kinda expect you to spend money.
